Morlaix municipality acquires 2 bicycle shelters (29)

Recently, our teams dropped anchor in western France to install a new bicycle facility in Finistère (29) on Place des Otages in the town of Morlaix.

open bike shelters feature a flat roof, making them perfectly suited to the installation of photovoltaic panels, ensuring their electrical autonomy. This feature is particularly appreciated, as it requires no additional work and provides the energy needed to operate the opening systems in the case ofclosed, secure bike shelters, as well as the recharging racks. What’s more, the simple, elegant design of these open bike shelters enables them to blend harmoniously into any environment.

To optimize the comfort of these open bike parking facilities, we have also added bike racks.

Each bike shelter offers a total of 4 spaces for conventional bicycles, plus 4 charging and parking spaces for VAE (electrically assisted bicycles).

The two “A” bike racks in each shelter can therefore accommodate conventional bicycles, providing 3-point bike security. What’s more, these bike racks can be customized to the color of your choice from among the 184 colors available in our RAL color chart, as well as being self-adhesive by replacing the bike cut-out. This allows you to communicate effectively on these bike racks.

Two E-park terminals have also been installed in each shelter, allowing two bikes to be parked simultaneously. These bike racks allow the bikes to be secured and recharged at the same time. In addition to securing the bike, the charger is also protected by a small storage compartment. Like the A-bike charging stations, E-Park charging stations can be customized with the colors of your choice.

The two bicycle shelters are now operational in Morlaix, and can accommodate up to 12 bikes on the Place des Otages. The Morlaix municipality’sbike parking offer for cyclists is already effective, thanks in particular to the possibility of parking classic bikes or VAEs with recharging.
