A new secure bicycle shelter in Dreux (28)

Here we are in Dreux, a commune in the Eure-et-Loir département (28), which called on Abri Plus to install a secure bicycle shelter.

TheModul’Ere shelter was chosen from theUGAP catalog, with which we’ve been working for several years.

As its name suggests, it’s modular, so you can choose the dimensions, height, bike racks, roof shape, cladding and access management to suit your needs.

Dreux town council decided to opt for a shelter that is 6.5 meters wide, 4 meters deep and 2.8 meters high. It was installed in a high version, to accommodate a double-level bike rack, the Park Up double 2 bike rack.

The double-height bike rack optimizes space by providing twice as much storage. The user can park his bike easily, thanks to a raising and lowering aid, and then secure it at 3 points. What’s more, they fully meet the requirements of the Dutch FIESTPARKEUR standard, thanks in particular to their safe, ergonomic operation.

This modular, upgradeable bicycle shelter has a contemporary design thanks to its vertical wooden batten cladding. Its flat roof with fascia cladding can accommodate several photovoltaic panels.
At the customer’s request, self-adhesive signs, which facilitate visual communication, were glued to the door. They can be used to personalize the bicycle shelter, but also to inform residents of the function of the new building.

This enclosed bike shelter encourages residents to use intermodal transport by providing secure parking. To facilitate operation of your shelter, several types of access control are available: digicode, Vigik badge, smartphone or transport card.
