The Coureille les Minimes campus in La Rochelle (17), home to Excelia students, has recently been equipped with a new cycling facility: a dedicated parking area for bikes and scooters, encouraging users to adopt soft mobility.
For this project in Charente-Maritme (17), the Modul’ere secure shelter was chosen. Its unique feature is that it can be adapted to meet growing parking needs. The 6.5×18 m, 2.80 m-high bicycle garage blends in perfectly with its surroundings, thanks to its natural wood and white sheet metal cladding.
A canopy has been added, enabling the installation of 5 linked A-bike terminals. Students and staff can now secure 10 self-service bikes outside the shelter.
Inside the secure, enclosed Modul’ere shelter, no fewer than 128 bicycle parking spaces are ready to welcome users, thanks to the 2-storey 2 Park Up bike racks. On either side, 64 optimized spaces (thanks to the double-deck parking system) are available to accommodate the bikes of Excelia Campus students and staff. The 2 Park Up double-deck racks are highly appreciated for their ability to optimize space and maximize parking capacity. Four electrically-assisted bicycles will also be able to take advantage of this bike parking facility, recharging while parked thanks to the VAE boxes integrated into the double-deck bike racks. These allow you to recharge and safely store your charger while your bike is parked.
The Coureille campus has come up with a complete package, installing 2 rings and 1 rack for cargo bikes. This adds 2 parking solutions for two- or three-wheeled bikes.
As we’re often reminded, soft mobility includes bicycles, but also, and increasingly, other means of travel such as scooters! To meet this need, our 10-place scooter rack has found its place inside the modul’erebike shelter.
When it comes to bike shelter equipment, our customer left nothing to chance! An “inflate a block” inflation station has been installed in case of tire failure. Lighting is by presence detection.
Available since the beginning of November on the Coureille campus, this new facility is an excellent example of a parking facility dedicated to soft mobility. It provides users with reliable solutions for parking and securing their two-wheeled vehicles , facilitating the transition to soft mobility.
Thanks to the Alvéole + scheme, the Coureille campus has been able to benefit from a subsidy of up to 50% of the cost of the project.
If you too have a similar two-wheeled development project in mind, don’t hesitate to contact our sales team and design office, who will be delighted to support you in your cycling policy.
