In Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, Vendée (85), Abri Plus has installed two solar-powered bicycle shelters that can be used to recharge electric bikes!
Through the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie, the town has chosen to equip the parking lot at the La Balise theater with bicycle parking facilities.
Two Naturelli shelters were designed, manufactured and installed by Abri Plus teams in early 2022. These wood and steel bicycle shelters blend perfectly into the landscape. Two different sizes were selected: one measures 3m60 by 2m50 and the other, larger, measures 10m by 2m50.
The two Naturelli shelters have been fitted with solar panels to power VAE recharging stations. In fact, an e-Park terminal has been installed under each of the shelters. This allows two electrically-assisted bicycles to be safely parked and recharged at the same time. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the e-Park terminal secures the wheel, frame and charger of the VAE in a single attachment point. Powered by solar energy, these autonomous charging stations are sure to find their fans.
Bicycle racks have also been installed. Inverted U-shaped bollards complete the bike shelters. Two of these have been installed directly on asphalt, and are therefore connected by steel plates to guarantee their perfect stability.
These facilities are key elements in encouraging gentler, more sustainable mobility.
