New arrival in Kingersheim: the Vernon bike shelter (68)

In July 2024, our teams headed east to equip a private company with parking facilities for two-wheelers in the Haut-Rhin region (68). Located in Kingersheim (68), close to the Swiss border, the company wanted to install a well-equipped two-wheeler parking area for its customers and employees.

For this project, we jointly chose an open bike shelter, offering self-service parking to protect two-wheelers from the elements. To create an aesthetically pleasing, hard-wearing parking area, theVernon bike shelter was selected and installed on the site. With its original shape, this shelter stylizes the exterior of the site. A total of two 16-meter shelters were installed.

To date, only one of the two shelters has been fitted with racks, and the second can also be fitted if required. Thanks to the four VAE E-Park charging stations installed, eight bicycles will be able to secure their VAEs. E-Park charging stations enable two bikes to be charged and secured simultaneously. This equipment is ideal for a company wishing to encourage velotafing, as VAEs require regular recharging.

Alongside these charging stations and bike parking facilities, the Deluxe service station has been installed. This repair station provides cyclists with the tools they need to repair their bikes with ease. It contains a wide range of tools, including an air pump, a set of hexagonal wrenches, a screwdriver and a tire iron.

This development is scalable and can be complemented by other parking facilities. It already offers bicycle equipment that is highly complementary and appreciated by cyclists. These products are listed on the UGAP website and are eligible for the Alvéole + program, a subsidy that can finance up to 50% of your bicycle parking.
