Near Strasbourg, a large bike and cargo bike park (67)

A few weeks ago, we worked with LCR Strasbourg in the Bas-Rhin region (67) to install a large, functional bicycle shelter on one of their worksites.

We designed, manufactured and installed a Modul’Ere open bike shelter, a model usually used for closed shelters. Abri Plus therefore imagined a customized project, adapted to its customer’s needs.

The shelter measures 12 metres by 6.50 metres and can accommodate a total of 44 bikes, including two cargo bikes! The whole structure was laid on a concrete slab to guarantee perfect durability over time.

In addition to the shelter, our teams also installed 21 upside-down U-shaped bicycle racks, each of which can accommodate 2 bicycles. In addition to these bollards, the company also chose to offer space for two cargo bikes or three-wheelers. For this purpose, Abri Plus has installed a CargoPark bollard and two rings for cargo bikes, which provide perfect security for the latter, while clearly indicating that the space is reserved for them. The design has in fact been studied for the parking of this type of bike only. Its low height allows users to ride on top and secure their bikes by the frame.
