In December 2020, the commune of Donville-les-Bains (50) published a municipal bulletin presenting its project entitled “ Donville à vélos “. The main theme was to create a cycling network and thus make the paths dedicated to soft mobility comfortable, dynamic and calming, particularly along the seafront.
In Manche (50), the cycling development project which began in June 2021, also had the progressive aim of making bicycle traffic safer for residents and tourists and meeting the requirements of the Euro Bike 4 circuit. A survey asking residents about their expectations in terms of seaside development was carried out by the commune, and several responses concerned bicycle shelters.
With this in mind, Abriplus worked with the commune of Donville les Bains to install a two-wheeler shelter at the entrance to the Hermitage beach.
After our teams had studied the project, theViadene wood open bike shelter was chosen for its many advantages. Thanks to its wood and glass construction materials, theViadene two-wheeler shelter blends in perfectly with its sandy surroundings. What’s more, it’s accessible on a self-service basis, so you can alternate spaces for holidaymakers throughout the day.
To optimize space and user comfort, the bike shelter has been accessorized with a ROMEO model bike rack. This rack stabilizes and secures bikes, cycles and VAEs in alternating high and low positions.
Thanks to this new facility, holidaymakers and residents of Donville les bains will be able to cycle to the beach and park their bikes in complete safety.
Our bicycle equipment is listed withUGAP and is eligible for the Alveole Plus program, which can subsidize your bicycle development project by up to 50%. We’ll be happy to help you with your cycling projects, so don’t hesitate to contact us!
