Creation of a bicycle garage for employees of Grenoble University Hospital (38)

Following a consultation, the University Hospital of Grenoble (38) called on Abri plus to build a collective, secure bicycle shelter for the hospital’s employees.

This project was carried out in collaboration with the hospital’s Director of Technical Services and as part of the hospital’s renovation.

Covered bicycle parking was installed on a site equivalent to around 4 car parking spaces. The Fleury model was chosen.

The screened bike room is 9 meters long and 5 meters wide, and features an access door ready for badge-based access management, so that employees can easily access it 24 hours a day.

Romeo bike racks complete the interior.

This model of bike rack optimizes the parking of two-wheelers in a confined space, thanks to the alternation of bikes in high and low positions.

44 individual, secure bicycle parking spaces are now available for hospital staff.

The shelter is also equipped with an outdoor pump with pressure gauge, making it easy for both amateur and experienced cyclists to re-inflate their bikes.

This stainless steel inflator station for bicycle and motorcycle shelters is designed for outdoor use.

These new facilities enable the CHU to encourage employees to use soft modes of transport for their daily commute.

Vertical bike racks had already been installed in the basement several years ago, and new bike facilities are also planned for various hospital sites, to complement this first bike room.

The bike park can also be complemented with various options and equipment for cyclists: shelter lighting, bike repair station, etc.
