Clermont-Ferrand equips itself with an inviting, secure bicycle shelter via UGAP

In October 2023, our fitters set off for Clermont Ferrand, to install a stylish, securebicycle parking facility at the Syndicat Mixte des Transports en Commun de l’Agglomération Clermontaise.

In fact, inthe Puy-de-Dome (63) region of France, our ready-to-install modular shelter, the Nomad double module model, was installed. It’s renowned for its design, modularity and choice of finishes. To make it even more aesthetically pleasing, this outdoor bike shelter was installed on a wooden parquet floor! A rare combination that makes this space dedicated to soft mobility more welcoming and warm.

This secure double bike shelter, measuring 6.04m long by 2.40m wide, isn’t very imposing, but can now accommodate up to 30 bikes thanks to the racks chosen, the double 2 Park upracks.

2park Up are multi-storey bicycle racks. They optimize space and parking capacity. Thanks to the multi-storey bike racks, two-wheeled vehicles can be easily and quietly stored and secured at 3 points! What’s more, if required, these bike racks can be fitted with VAE recharging units.

As for the cladding of thebike shelter, SMCT chose anthracite-gray perforated sheet metal, which contrasts beautifully with the parquet flooring and surrounding trees.

Access to the bike shelter is secure and managed by an access control system, making it easy to organize.

Once again, these new secure parking spaces for two-wheelers represent a real step forward in the development of our territories towards soft mobility.
