Bicycle and VAE shelter for iXblue in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (78)

What better way to encourage employees to switch to active mobility than with a large indoor bike park in the Yvelines region (78)? That’s the choice iXblue has made for its Saint-Germain-en-Laye site.

The choice of shelter and the layout of the racks make it possible to offer as many bicycle parking spaces as possible in a limited space. A total of 50 bicycle spaces are now available, 20 of which are dedicated to parking and recharging electric bikes.

The Vernon bicycle shelter, appreciated for its design and sturdiness, has been selected to meet a growing need among users. Thanks to its two-sided design and 12-meter length, it offers ample space for parking bicycles.

To accommodate bicycles and optimize the available space, 30 Caligo racks were installed, alternating high and low versions to facilitate parking. A laser cut-out in the shape of a bicycle indicates that this space is dedicated to bicycles.

Alongside this, the company has chosen to install 10 charging and parking stations for e-Park electrically-assisted bicycles. This patented system, developed by Abri Plus, enables two electric bikes to be parked and recharged simultaneously. Bikes are optimally protected: wheel, frame and charger can be secured in a single point.
