5 bicycle shelters and 90 spaces for students on the Périgord campus (24)

The Périgord campus (24), located in the Périgueux area, has chosen Abriplus products to fit out its bike park, offering 90 spaces for two-wheelers to its students and staff. For this bike shelter project, the campus placed an order via UGAP.

Thistop-of-the-range bicycle shelter was chosen for its back-to-back installation options. In addition to its modularity, this bike shelter is distinguished by its elegant design, thanks to its rounded, contemporary lines. TheGrand Lieu bike shelter is manufactured in our workshop in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu (44) from galvanized steel, ensuring durability and resistance over time. What’s more, the glass used is Securit glass, renowned for its high resistance and anti-injury protection in the event of breakage.

In terms of customization, Campus Perigord was able to choose the color of the structure from a RAL color chart of 184 colors, as well as the dimensions of the shelter. Campus Perigord also chose to add adhesives to the windows of the bike shelter. These stickers are an effective way of communicating with users about the structure’s function, as well as about the owner of these bicycle parking facilities.

A total of 5 Grand Lieu open bike shelters have been installed in the Dordogne (24) commune, including 4 back-to-back doubles and one single. To enhance cyclists’ comfort, these shelters have also been fitted with bike racks. Two of the bike shelters are equipped with 15 upside-down U-brackets connected by a steel plate. Connecting the bike racks by means of a steel plate eliminates the need for civil engineering when installing them on asphalt. The U-bollards offer optimum 3-point cycle safety, and can also be customized from a RAL color chart of 184 colors.

In the 3 other double bike shelters, a total of 30 linked A-posts have been installed. These bicycle racks can be used to secure smaller bicycles. Since both types of bollard can simultaneously accommodate 2 bikes per bollard, 90 secure parking spaces are available under the 5 open bike shelters. Campus students and staff can now cycle to work.
