Alvéole Plus program: finance your bicycle parking facilities
The Alvéole Plus program, supported by the Fédération française des Usagers de la Bicyclette (FUB), helps public companies and local authorities to finance the deployment of bicycle parking facilities.
Launched in autumn 2022, the Alvéole Plus program is part of the Energy Savings Certificates (CEE) scheme and follows on from the previous Alvéole subsidy. The aim is to help create 100,000 secure bicycle parking spaces.
Abri Plus is approved for the design, manufacture and installation of open and secure bicycle shelters, bike racks and bicycle maintenance equipment prescribed by the Alvéole + program.
In concrete terms, what is the Alvéole Plus program?
The new Alvéole + bicycle financing scheme is a subsidy program that uses the energy-saving certificate mechanism to promote and develop solutions for bicycle mobility, with the aim of supporting behavioral change. In concrete terms, this involves subsidizing the installation and fitting of equipment to promote cycling, in order to increase the number of secure bicycle parking spaces on public roads.
The Alvéole Plus program is a CEE (Certificat d’Économie d’Énergie) scheme run by the French Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition.
Bicycle subsidy program: who is concerned?
The Alvéole Plus bicycle shelter subsidy scheme, which supports the deployment of ecomobility, concerns several players in society. New beneficiaries are also joining the ranks of the new financial aid scheme:
– Public spaces, establishments and sites: local authorities…
– Schools and educational establishments
– Stations and intermodal hubs
– Private condominiums (mainly for residential use)
– Social housing – social landlords
– Spaces for delivery by bike
Your bicycle shelter project with Alvéole + in 3 steps
1- Abri Plus guides you through the development of your bicycle parking space. Thanks to over 30 years of expertise and a very wide range of products, our technical sales staff will study your needs and assess the technical (solar power, for example) and logistical constraints of your project. They will guide you in choosing the equipment best suited to your needs. Your advisor will draw up a quotation for your bike shelter (8 models of secure shelters and 17 models of open shelters available), racks (10 models available) and even an inflation or repair station!
2- On the Alvéole + platform, we help you create your account and track your applications. Throughout the process, your dedicated advisor will be at your side to explain how the platform works, and what you need to do to obtain financing.
3- Your grant application is approved! We take care of everything! Your bike shelter is manufactured in our workshops. It will be installed by our teams anywhere in France within 5 to 8 weeks. Abri Plus is your guarantee of a successful project, with tens of thousands of bicycle spaces created every year!
Alvéole Plus: eligibility criteria
The Alvéole Plus program finances up to 40% of your future equipment (up to 50% in low-emission zones), bicycle shelters and secure fastening systems, provided that :
1 – All parking spaces must be covered and set apart from motorized parking.
2 – The bike’s securing system must be able to be installed on the frame and front wheel.
3 – The walking distance between the bicycle parking area and the destination must be as short as possible.
4 – Access to bicycle parking facilities must be simple, easy and safe for users. It must be easy for users to maneuver their bicycles; there must be no risk of injury, dirt, damage to clothing or damage to their own or others’ bicycles.
The eligible equipment is :
- Attachment brackets (in an existing room),
- Shelters
- Safe lockers (individual and collective)
- Storage lockers, tool and inflation stations: co-financed only as a complement to attachment racks

The Alvéole + program supports three types of parking configuration:

Please note that the subsidy calculation does not take into account ancillary commissioning costs (renovation, electricity, civil engineering, etc.).
