Abriplus goes 100% solar!

In response to growing customer demand, Abriplus integrates solar solutions into the roofs of its shelters, providing customers with sustainable turnkey solutions.
The main demand comes from companies and local authorities looking for bicycle shelters equipped with solar panels for complete energy autonomy (self-consumption).
Thanks to the models we’ve specifically developed for our shelters, we can offer the most appropriate equipment (number, power, panel surface area) according to specific needs (electrical equipment consumed) and the location of the furniture.
Our team also studies your project in advance and draws up customized plans to integrate solar panels sized to your project, particularly in terms of energy and photovoltaics.
Here are a few examples of projects we have carried out for our customers:
- Our KOMPACT bike shelter is a secure, self-supporting, energy-sufficient bicycle locker.
This new-generation bicycle parking facility offers 12 bicycle spaces on 2 levels in a compact space (only 7 m² floor area).
3 photovoltaic solar panels cover the roof, giving it total energy autonomy (access control, opening system…).
- A secure SQUARE + bicycle shelter at Libourne SNCF station (33) has recently been fitted with photovoltaic panels.
This solar-powered installation on the roof of the shelter is completely self-sufficient, providing power forlighting and access control, as well as for bike racks equipped with VAE charging sockets.

- Photovoltaic panels have been integrated into the roof of Abriplus’s newPESCARA open bike shelter.
These solar solutionssupply electricity to the VAE charging station, which in turn powers the batteries of the electric bicycles parked there.
The electrical device, integrated into a discreet cabinet, is perfectly concealed in one of the poles, transforming solar energy into electricity.
The JULIETTE VAE terminal is therefore 100% solar-powered, for complete energy autonomy. The solar panels require simple maintenance and regular cleaning, so they can operate all year round, even in winter!
Unusual: in partnership with the Colas Group, Juliette VAE racks can also be powered by a “solar road” (Wattway by Colas)!
Container shelters can also benefit from solar technology. A BEAUVAIS PARC container shelter has just been installed for social housing in Barlin (62) and fitted with a solar panel to power theshelter’s interior lighting.
