At Poix-Terron station in the Ardennes, Abri Plus teams recently installed double-decker Vel’Boxes, offering 12 secure bicycle parking spaces. A project designed to support new mobility practices and facilitate everyday travel!
Served by the TER network, Poix-Terron station links several nearby towns and welcomes regular commuters every day. In this context, bike-train intermodality is a practical, sustainable and efficient solution for commuting and leisure.
To encourage these practices, the station has redesigned its parking lot to include a space specifically for bicycles. The aim is to enable cyclists to park their bikes safely before boarding the train, without encroaching on the spaces reserved for vehicles.

To meet these needs, Abri Plus has come up with a double-decker version of its Vel’Box secure individual locker. This configuration optimizes available floor space while doubling parking capacity, an ideal solution for sites with limited space or regular traffic.
Based on the Vel’Box Angers model, the two-tier version is equipped with 2 Park Up racks for easy bike handling. Users can effortlessly dismount and remount their bikes, even in the high-level lockers, guaranteeing comfortable, accessible use for all. A Deluxe repair station has been added next to the lockers, to enable users to repair their bikes before getting back on the road.

Located in the immediate vicinity of the parking lot, these bike lockers make intelligent use of the available space, without removing any car spaces. They now offer twelve cyclists a reliable and secure parking solution, facilitating a smooth transition between bike and train.
A concrete installation that actively contributes to the development of intermodality and the promotion of soft mobility in all regions, including rural areas!
