The Centre des Finances Publiques in Bordeaux (33) provides its staff with a secure bike-motorcycle shelter.

Abri Plus manufactured and installed a secure Fleury bicycle shelter at the Centre des Finances Publiques de Cenon near Bordeaux (33) in Gironde.

For this bicycle installation project, the public service employees first called on their CHSCT (Comité d’Hygiène, de Sécurité et des Conditions de Travail – Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee) to study the installation of a bicycle shelter to make it easier for public service employees to commute to and from work.

The head of the CHSCT then contacted Abri Plus to study the feasibility of asecure shelter for bikes and motorcycles at the Public Finance Center and Tax Office.

Depending on access constraints, the number of bikes and motorcycles needing to be secured and the available floor space, our design office worked on layout plans based on the Fleury model collective bike shelter.

The plans were then submitted to the customer and validated by the Project Manager.

Abri Plus then manufactured and painted the bike shelter in its workshops near Nantes (44).

The custom-built shelter was also installed by Abri Plus installation teams, in the parking lot of the Centre des Finances Publiques (inside an already fenced-in compound).

The bike shelter is 9 meters long and 3 meters wide. It is clad in white (RAL 9010) wire mesh and sheet metal.

A wide variety of cladding options are also available for this model of bike shelter: glass, wood, wire mesh, railing or a combination of these materials.

Thanks to its sober, classic lines and arched roof, this bike shelter blends easily into any environment.

The left-hand and central areas (18 m² in all) are entirely dedicated to bicycles.

Top and bottom bike racks (for 6, 5 and 4 bicycles respectively) secure a total of 15 bikes inside the shelter.

This type of bike rack optimizes the parking of two-wheeled vehicles in a confined space, by alternating bikes in high and low positions.

The right-hand side of the bike/motorcycle room is dedicated to motorized vehicles, with space for 3 motorcycles or scooters.

Each of the two areas of the bike room is equipped with doors with mechanical digicodes, allowing different access for cyclists and motorcyclists.

This access control system enables staff with the appropriate access code to easily secure bikes and motorcycles inside the Fleury shelter.
