Secure shelters for 2 stations near Rennes (35)

Our Abriplus teams visited two secure bicycle shelters in Brittany, in the Ille-et-Vilaine département (35), at the request of the Direction Régionale des Gares de l’Ouest. The two shelters were installed in stations north of Rennes.

TheModul’Ere closed shelter was chosen for its sturdiness and ability to withstand the elements thanks to its galvanized steel structure, guaranteeing long life. It is designed with a painted vertical bar cladding and painted solid sheet metal. In addition, Abriplus offers a wide range of bicycle shelters, in a variety of materials, colors and sizes, enabling customization to suit your needs and preferences.

Inside, bike racks and racks have been installed to optimize space. Thanks to its innovative double-decker system, the 2 Park Up racks maximize the number of parked bikes. Each station has 22 bicycle spaces. What’s more, to meet the needs of cyclists, a Station Deluxe terminal is available, enabling them to repair and maintain their bikes on site.

To facilitate signage and information reading, adhesives have been affixed to the front door. These stickers are also used to personalize the shelter with specific logos and inscriptions. For example, Breton lettering has been added. In addition, both bike shelters are equipped with four photovoltaic panels, guaranteeing their autonomous power supply.

The installation of these two secure bike shelters at stations near Rennes provides a safe parking solution for cyclists and workers taking the train during the day, while encouraging soft mobility.
