Two railway stations in the Dordogne (24) are now equipped with secure collective bike lockers! To encourage intermodality and make it easier to park your bike on the way to the station, we designed, built and installed 3 secure bike shelters in partnership with Colas Sud Ouest.
3 Modul’Ere bicycle shelters have therefore been installed; not all have the same dimensions or equipment: this depends on the level of use.
In Saint-Astier, a 6.50m x 4m shelter has been installed with 2 Park Up double-decker bike racks. A total of 36 bicycle spaces are available. Access is via Vigik badges.
In Saint-Léon Sur L’Isle, a smaller shelter (4m x 4m) was chosen. For the time being, we’ve installed a 10-place Romeo bike rack inside, as ridership is lower at this station. However, if ridership were to increase, the height of the Modul’Ere shelter would enable us to replace the racks with 2 Park Up double-deck racks, thus increasing parking capacity.
