The commune of Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire (49), located between Angers and Saumur, wanted to offer a free bicycle parking service for cyclists.
For this new development, Abri Plus proposed its Vel Box bike locker model Angers to enable cyclotourists to leave their bikes safely during their escapades in the region.
The bike boxes have been installed near the Tourist Office in Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire, which has already been awarded the “Accueil vélo” and “Loire à vélo” labels.
The 2 bicycle lockers, each with 4 places (i.e. 8 individual bicycle places), are fitted with hinged doors and are decorated with a “autumn fall” leaf motif laser-decorated sheet metal cladding.
Each closed bike locker can accommodate one user’s two-wheeled vehicle. Thanks to these new individual bike lockers, users can lock and secure the locker with their own anti-theft device, allowing them to enjoy their outings in complete peace of mind.
A pole with bicycle signage helps to clearly identify bicycle parking areas.
The bike lockers are also located next to a sign explaining the itinerary for cyclists to follow to discover the Authion à Vélo and the banks of the Loire.
A display frame will enable the Tourist Office to communicate easily on this new bike scheme.
Starting this summer, locals and tourists alike will be able to enjoy all the region has to offer on foot or by bike! Other finishes are available for these bike boxes, and the color can be chosen from the RAL color chart, allowing total personalization in line with the image of your community or company.
Sockets for recharging electrically-assisted bicycles (EABs) can also be added inside bicycle shelters.
