Recently, Abriplus installers headed to Paris (75) to equip a new hospital with secure bicycle parking facilities. Located in the capital’s 10th arrondissement, Hôpital Saint-Louis chose to install a Square + model secure shelter measuring 6.50×3 meters. The bike shelter was purchased through our partner UGAP.
TheSquare + secure enclosed shelter is characterized by its modularity in length, enabling it to adapt to the space available and the desired bicycle parking capacity. Always appreciated for its elegant design, this bicycle shelter is clad in perforated sheet metal and safety glass. What’s more, it was painted grey, a color chosen by the customer from our palette of 184 standard colors.
A large entrance door will be fitted with an explanatory sticker to inform passers-by of the usefulness of this new infrastructure. Inside the shelter, two-level bike racks have been installed. These 2-storey bike racks double parking capacity. They are easy to use thanks to an anti-tilt device that locks the bike in the rail, as well as a retaining mechanism that makes getting on and off the bike effortless for the user.
Hôpital Saint-Louis has thoughtfully combined design, optimization and practicality by installing equipment designed to improve the comfort of users of the bicycle shelter. Opposite theSquare + shelter, a manual pump is available for re-inflating bicycle tires. On the right-hand side of thebike shelter, cyclists will have access to a wall-mounted toolbox containing the tools they need to carry out basic repairs. This type ofbike equipment always makes a difference to cyclists, allowing them to have everything they need to solve last-minute problems.
Forsecure access to the bike shelter, the door is fitted with a conventional lock and a European cylinder. The new bicycle parking spaces are now available and have already been adopted by some of the hospital’s staff cyclists.
