Renault employees come by bike too!

In the Yvelines region (78), Abri Plus carried out a large-scale installation of bicycle facilities for Renault’s head office in Guyancourt.

At the outset of the project, the people in charge of Renault’s layout wanted to optimize the storage and security of bicycles in the company’s various parking lots.

Abri Plus has designed a special version of its Nomad bike shelter, perfectly suited to securing a maximum number of bikes in a small area.

The 3 bicycle shelters were custom-built, pre-assembled and installed at 3 different locations within the French automotive group.

Each module is just over 6 metres long and 2.40 metres wide, with a height of almost 3 metres.

The Nomad shelters specially designed for Renault are partially open, allowing bicycles to be parked lengthways (unlike the classic Nomad shelter, which is closed but secures 20 bicycles).

Each shelter is pre-equipped in our workshops to store 28 bicycles on 2 levels, representing a total capacity of 84 secure bicycle parking spaces on the entire site.

The double-decker 2 park-up bike racks have been installed and fitted withsafety rings.

Using the 2 park up double bike racks is simple and intuitive for cyclists. The principle of holding the bike in place by the fork makes it easy to raise and lower bikes to and from the second level.

These new-generation bike racks are perfectly suited to small spaces, underground parking lots and basements.

What’s more, if the company wishes to equip itself with a fleet of electrically-assisted bicycles, sockets for EAB chargers can be added for easy recharging of this type of bike.

Renault is therefore committed to the development of cycling and active mobility (bicycle travel in particular).

These new bicycle facilities will improve the daily commuting experience for employees.
