The renovation project for Bessancourt’s railway station has just been completed.
To make daily life easier for users, the town council has decided to encourage soft transport by installing modern facilities capable of accommodating almost 50 bicycles in Val-d’Oise (95).
Thanks to financial support from the Val Parisis Agglomeration Community, the SNCF and the Ile-de-France Region, the Bessancourt station hub project has been entrusted to STPE-VOTP, a public works company.
The Abri Plus teams designed this Véligo bike locker for train users, with the aim of creating a multimodal hub.
Access inside the shelter is reserved for holders of a Navigo pass. For users without a subscription, bike racks have also been installed under a custom-made outdoor canopy.
The bike shelter offers ample capacity : 28 secure indoor parking spaces and 20 outdoor spaces (10 A terminals).
This Val-d’Oise municipality called on Abri Plus to build an enclosed Square + bicycle shelter.
To secure bicycles, double-decker 2 Park Up double-decker racks racks have been installed inside the shelter.
For the comfort of cyclists, this bracket meets the requirements of the Dutch FIESTPARKEUR standard (durability, ease of use, reduced risk of damage to the bicycle, corrosion resistance, etc.).
What’s more, it’s suitable for all types of bikes: city bikes, hybrids, racing bikes, mountain bikes and children’s bikes.
Thanks to its gray color (RAL7016) and wooden cladding, the shelter is highly visible at the station entrance.
