Abri Plus worked in collaboration with Eurovia on the redevelopment of the intermodal interchange at Vouillé (86), near Poitiers.
The architect in charge of the entire restructuring project specified individual bike lockers from Abri Plus, the Vel’Box Angers model. 10 bicycle lockers with wood and mesh cladding were specifically manufactured and installed in the Vienne commune.
In Vienne (86), each closed bike locker can house a user’s bike. Users secure their 2-wheelers with their own padlock inside the individual bike locker.
Users can then change their mode of transport to get to work, for example, making their daily commute easier.
To adapt to different types of bikes, half of the individual bike shelters have been fitted with VAE sockets.
These VAE sockets, located inside the bike lockers, are used to recharge the batteries of electrically-assisted bicycles.
Bicycle signage or display panels explaining how to use the bike locker can also be added to the shelter.
With this modern facility for bicycles, the commune of Vouillé is offering its residents a new quality service and promoting environmentally-friendly travel !
