Double-decker bike shelter and racks for an industry in Hauts-de-Seine (92)

MBDA, an industrial company specializing in the defense sector, asked Abri Plus to manufacture an outdoor bicycle shelter at its Le Plessis-Robinson site in Haut-de-Seine (92).

At the start of the project, MBDA wanted a bicycle room to accommodate a very large number of two-wheelers in a small area.

The people in charge of fitting out the premises were very interested in the Varennes open bike shelter. The Abri Plus design office therefore proposed an adaptation of its flagship model to incorporate double-decker bike racks.

The bike shelter specially designed for MBDA is based on the Varennes model. The bike shelter is made up of two back-to-back modules, with two arches, and is 5 meters long and 6 meters deep.

The new version has been reinforced and adapted to reach a height of 2.80 meters, allowing the installation of double-decker bike racks.

2 Park Updouble-deck racks optimize bicycle parking thanks to a unique double-deck system. Bicycles are held in place by forks, making it easy to get on and off the second level. Bicycles are easily and reliably secured by cyclists.

With these 48 new covered bicycle spaces, the company aims to make it easier for its employees to get around, and encourage them to use alternative modes of transport.

For greater visibility and user comfort, it is also possible to accessorize the bike/motorcycle parking area with litter garbage cans, signage and bike maintenance facilities (repair or inflation stations, etc.).
