Bicycle parking for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (93)!

It was with pride and enthusiasm that Abriplus was able to take part in the preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympics, by creating a large bike park with over 1,000 spaces thanks to double bike racks. In Seine-Saint-Denis (93), this bike park is open to the public and is just 50 meters from the Stade de France!

The aim of the project was to create a secure, practical and well-designed bike parking facility so that these new bike parking spaces would be used during the 2024 Olympics, but also afterwards. As the need for parking spaces was high, it was necessary to find a suitable organization. An exciting challenge that our professional teams successfully met!

A number of open bike shelters were installed for this project. They were created specifically for this project, in various sizes. Inside these shelters, 2Park Up double-decker racks were installed. These 2-storey racks are ideal for this type of project, as they enable parking capacity to be doubled in small spaces. They are very simple to operate and can accommodate any size of bicycle. Storing bikes upstairs is effortless thanks to the double lock that characterizes the 2Park Up double bike rack. What’s more, as part of our commitment to secure parking, 2Park Up double-deck bike racks feature a three-point attachment system.

To organize this large bike park, the aisles were named with letters, and the zones were delineated using different colors on the double bike racks and on the bike shelter adhesives. At Abriplus, you can customize the color of your equipment from a RAL selection of 184 colors. What’s more, we make adhesives that facilitate communication with cyclists.

All bike shelters have been fitted with automatic motion-detecting lights. To complete the bike parking, several bike-cargo racks have been added. In total, more than 1,000 secure bicycle spaces have been created for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This new bike park is now accessible to all and is just 50 meters from the Stade de France. It has been strategically placed with very easy access via the V1 of the Île-de-France cycle network, which is the major cycle route.

This project, completed in July 2024, is yet another example of our progress in promoting soft mobility on a daily basis.
