Bicycle facilities at Adidas headquarters in Strasbourg (67)

In collaboration with Bouygues Construction Nord Est, Abri Plus installed the bicycle facilities at Adidas’ new French headquarters in Strasbourg.

The building, located in the Wacken business district near the European Parliament, has been home to the Adidas Group’s 200 French employees since April.

In order to develop the use of active mobility and encourage employees to come to work by bike, 200 double-model 2 park-up bike racks have been installed in the building’s parking lot.

Park up double 2 racks are new-generation double-deck bike racks that are simple and intuitive to use for cyclists. The principle of holding the bike in place by the fork makes it easy to raise and lower bikes to and from the second level.

In Bas-Rhin (67), this two-level bicycle parking system reduces floor space and optimizes the number of bicycles parked on a limited surface area.

These double-deck racks are ideal for underground parking lots, basements and small spaces.

What’s more, if the company wishes to equip itself with a fleet of electrically-assisted bicycles, sockets to accommodate the VAE boxes can be added for easy recharging of the bikes.

Similarly, bicycle repair or inflation stations could be made available to employees so that they can maintain their bicycles.

New facilities for cyclists will be added to the 200 bike racks in 2019.
