Auchan: three Beaufortain bicycle shelters already ready for use!

We’re barely into 2024, and some of our bike shelters have already found their way into new parking lots!
This time, it’s in the Auchan parking lot that ourBeaufortain open bike shelter has been adopted. We were asked to redevelop this parking lot, freeing up more space for two-wheeled vehicles in Indre-et-Loire (37).

The store, located in Tours, had already equipped itself with secure bicycle parking for its employees in 2023. This time, we have installed a Beaufortain self-service bicycle shelter for customers.

With its flat roof and standard design, this bicycle shelter adapts easily to all types of environment. It was therefore a natural choice for the reorganization of the Auchan parking lot. An excellent opportunity to encourage supermarket customers to prefer two-wheeled travel, especially as a scooter rack is available under the bike shelter.

Three Beaufortain bicycle shelters have been installed in the company’s parking lot. The first, located next to a cart shelter, is a double Beaufortain. It can accommodate 10 bikes on 5 U-shaped bollards (2 bikes per bollard), plus 10 scooters on the standard rack. The two-wheel racks are designed to secure both conventional and electric scooters. The diversification of parking types is ideal for building an inclusive offer for soft mobility.

A second bicycle shelter, very similar to the first, has been installed near the bus stops, at the entrance to the parking lot. This is a strategic location, given the increasing practice of intermodality (the use of several modes of travel during a journey).

Finally, the last Beaufortain is a bicycle shelter with the capacity to accommodate 6 bikes thanks to the 3 U terminals we’ve installed.
