In Paris (75), 2 Abri Plus Cooma bicycle racks have been installed in the fourth arrondissement , in impasse Guéménée and rue Jacques Cœur.
The first veloboxes in Paris are now in service, and will be tested in the 4th arrondissement before being deployed throughout the city.
Ariel Weilt, Mayor of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, was behind the initiative to provide Parisians with secure bicycle parking spaces close to their homes.

He chose Abri Plus’s Cooma bike boxes, which secure up to 6 bikes in a small space.
Only local residents with a (non-reproducible) key can access the shelter to secure their bicycles near their homes.

This small, compact bike shelter is perfectly suited to meeting the growing demand for secure bike parking, and enables bikes to be quickly integrated into Parisian urban spaces.
These mini-boxes take up only half a parking space and feature an integrated bike rack.
Our collective bike lockers are easy to deploy, as they are manufactured and assembled in our workshops near Nantes and installed directly on site.

With this experiment, the French capital is putting its national bicycle plan into action, and seeking to catch up on its lag in terms of bicycle parking to offer secure, residential bicycle parking to Parisians, following the example of Brussels and London.
In fact, the City of Paris is planning the mass deployment of closed, secure bike boxes on the public highway, supported by Parisians and local bicycle associations (Paris en Selle and Mieux se Déplacer à Bicyclette in particular).
Our residential bicycle shelters have been adopted by Auxerre, Montreuil and Chalon sur Saône, among others, and are now being rolled out throughout France.
