A secure residential shelter in Chalon sur Saône (71)

Abri Plus has built its first Cooma bicycle box for the city of Chalon sur Saône (71)!

The Cooma collective bike box is a compact, secure garage dedicated to residential parking , withroom for 6 bikes.

This mini bike box takes up only half a car parking space.

What’s more, thanks to its small size (2.50 m long by 2 m wide), the Cooma can easily be installed anywhere on the street, providing local bike parking.

So it’s a perfect fit for small spaces.

The Cooma bike park is a ready-to-install shelter : it is pre-assembled in the Abri Plus production workshop near Nantes (44), transported by truck and then installed directly on site.

Using the bike locker is simple and intuitive for users.

A system of hydraulic cylinders ensures effortless door opening. The handle is easy for the rider to grip, and the shelter opens without having to bend down.

Inside the bike box, an integrated bike rack allows bikes to be parked alternately in high and low positions.

The cyclist secures the frame and wheel of his bicycle with his personal anti-theft device.

For complete bike protection, the shelter is secured and locked with a non-reproducible key lock or a connected electronic lock.

The shape of the shelter, for example, has been designed to accommodate bicycles with baby seats.

Lockers can also be added to store and secure cyclists’ personal belongings: yellow vests, bicycle helmets, etc.

For complete personalization of the bike shelter, it can be clad on both sides with decorative sheet metal, and adhesives can also be added for effective communication all around the shelter.
