A secure bike park in Bayonne (64)

In partnership with UGAP, ABRIPLUS has designed, built and installed a secure collective bike park in downtown Bayonne (64).

It was the resolutely contemporary design of the SQUARE + bike room that won over the project managers from the City of Bayonne.

This covered and enclosed bicycle shelter is clad on both sides with safety glass , allowing plenty of light to pass through.

For the comfort and safety of cyclists, the SQUARE+ cycle shelter is also equipped with motion-sensor LED lighting, andaccess to the secure cycle parking area is controlled by electronic badge.

Designed by ABRIPLUS, the generously-sized SQUARE+ bicycle shelter (6 m x 4.5 m) can protect a large number of bicycles and VAEs.

The bike park has 38 secure bike parking spaces spread over 2 levels, thanks to the 2 Park Up double bike rack.

These double-decker bike racks optimize bike parking thanks to a unique double-decker system. They are also equipped with anti-theft security rings.

For electrically-assisted bicycles (EABs), 4 battery recharging points have also been installed.

To provide a complementary service to users in the event of unforeseen circumstances, this collective bike park also houses a stainless steel inflation station.

This large-scale installation and bicycle facilities will help to promote intermodality and emphasize active mobility, one of the Basque city’s priorities.

The City of Bayonne also received a grant for this secure bicycle shelter from the Alvéole program.
