A secure bicycle shelter at the Jardin Public in Biarritz (64)

Through UGAP, the town of Biarritz has equipped itself witha 40-space closed, secure bicycle shelter, which will meet a strong demand from bicycle users in this town in the Basque country.

With its elegant safety glass cladding, this bike shelter is sure to catch the eye of cyclists passing through Biarritz’s public gardens and looking for a bike parking space. The Square Plus model was chosen by the city for its design and modularity. Designed, manufactured and installed by Abriplus, it will be operational by the end of 2021.

Inside, double-decker 2 Park Up racks have been installed to accommodate a total of 40 bikes . This type of parking optimizes the available space, while guaranteeing maximum safety thanks to safety rings. Very easy to use, 2 Park Up racks also provide excellent bike support.

To enable electrically-assisted bicycles to be recharged, 20 spaces are equipped with VAE boxes. Convenient to use, they secure the bike and the user’s charger in a single point.

The entrance to this secure, closed shelter is also controlled by a Vigik badge reader.
