A new self-service bike station, model Deluxe bike repair station, has been installed in downtown Talence (33) near Bordeaux.
Already popular in other French towns, this new service for users immediately appealed to the Mayor of Talence and his elected representatives.
This self-service facility enables Talençais to carry out repairs to their bicycles themselves.
The Bikefixtation bicycle service station by Abri Plus is accessible 24/7 and provides cyclists with free tools secured on retractable aircraft cables.
Alene wrenches, torx wrenches, tire levers, open-end wrenches and screwdrivers enable cyclists to carry out minor repairs on their two-wheelers: changing tires or tubes, tightening handlebars…
The Deluxe repair station has been designed for use outdoors or indoors , under a bicycle shelter or in a closed room, for example.
It works with all types of bicycles and can be used simultaneously by 2 riders:
– to facilitate repairs, a first bike can be installed on the maintenance arm by the saddle,
– to inflate tires with the pump, a second bike can be positioned in the wheel chock.
This bicycle facility offers Talençais residents a real plus in terms of safe cycling, and is perfectly in line with ‘s policy ofpromoting cycling in Gironde (33).
