The landlord of a building in the thirteenth arrondissement of Paris wanted a practical and aesthetic solution tooptimize bicycle parking in the existing bike room.

The building, located near the Parc de Choisy in the south of Paris (13th district), had an unfinished, undersized basement.

Based on the basement plans, and after an in-depth study of the project in advance with one of the co-owners, Abri Plus proposed an optimum layout for the bike racks to maximize the number of bikes that could be parked and secured in the building.

The project and the budget for this new bicycle garage have already been voted on by all the co-owners at the General Meeting.

Next, 52 double-deck 2 park-up racks and Romeo bicycle racks were delivered to the condominium and installed by an external company.

The 2 park up double-height bike rack also features a bike lock in the rail and an anti-rollback system. The user’s bike is held securely (either by the fork or the rear wheel).

Safety rings have been added to make it easier for users to secure their bicycles with their personal locks.

VAE socket strips can be added to the rack to recharge electric-assist bicycles.

In addition, bike stands have been installed, as well as a bike repair station that allows everyone to repair their own bike.

Residents young and old are already raving about this new bike park, which allows them to get around Paris by bike with complete peace of mind!
