5 individual lockers for railway stations in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (43)

In January, Abriplus installed five individual bike lockers in three stations in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region. This project was carried out for the SNCF, in collaboration with AREP.

The choice fell on two-door Angers Vel’boxes, with solid sheet metal cladding. Located at railway stations, these secure lockers can store up to four bicycles and blend harmoniously into a variety of environments.

Abriplus offers complete customization of these boxes, with wood or perforated sheet metal cladding options, as well as a wide range of RAL colors, providing a solution that’s both practical and aesthetically pleasing.

To improve the visibility and identification of these parking spaces for local residents, the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region has opted for the addition ofpersonalized stickers. This solution ensures that the bike lockers blend harmoniously into the urban landscape, while respecting the visual identity of the municipalities concerned.

With their compact design, Vel’boxes optimize the use of available space, offering a practical solution for securing several bicycles on small surfaces. Each individual locker can be locked with a padlock or a personal anti-theft device, guaranteeing simple, effective use.

Installed in stations for free access, these lockers encourage more responsible mobility, offering local residents a sustainable alternative for their journeys and a secure space for their bicycles. This initiative reflects the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region’s strong commitment to soft mobility and environmentally-friendly modes of transport.
