How can we encourage schoolchildren and staff to use environmentally-friendly means of transport? By offering them access to enclosed shelters that protect and secure their bikes!
This is the choice made by the Brittany region and SemBreizh for the three high schools on the Kerichen campus (Jules Lesven, La Pérouse and Vauban), in Brest (29).
The AbriPlus teams therefore designed, manufactured and installed three Modul’Ere secure enclosed shelters on site. Modular, scalable and contemporary in design, they meet the growing need to accommodate students’ and teachers’ bicycles.
Each shelter has been fitted with a range of parking supports to accommodate all types of cycles. Romeo racks, which provide perfect support for bicycles, have been installed. Alternating between high and low positions, they optimize available space. A-bollards, which can accommodate two bicycles simultaneously, have also been installed in each of them.
In total, our three Modul’Ere shelters can secure 112 bicycles and thus encourage active mobility, which is good for both health and the environment.
To ensure the best possible experience for cyclists at these three Breton high schools, wall-mounted repair kits have been installed, along with an inflation station with pressure gauge. Lockers are also available in the shelters for storing helmets, clothing, etc.

Abriplus assists professionals with all their bicycle installation projects in Finistère (29).
