Our CSR commitments Produce Locally, Design Sustainably

At the heart of the development of soft mobility and waste sorting, Abri Plus evolves every day to become a more responsible company. Committed to an environmental approach for many years, we are dedicated to producing locally and designing sustainably.

Responsible Company

These commitments have been validated since 2009 through the achievement of the ISO 14001 environmental certification, which was recently renewed in 2021.

As designers and manufacturers of solutions that promote cycling as a means of transportation and waste sorting, sustainable development is naturally part of our DNA.
Environmental protection is inseparable from the growth of our company. That’s why we allocate the necessary human and material resources to meet strict environmental standards.
We believe it is our responsibility to fully control our activities and their impact.

Ecodesign
Environmental impact assessment and design of shelters

Eco-designed products

With the help of its Research & Development team, Abri Plus has set up an eco-design process to reduce the environmental impact of its products throughout their life cycle. The environmental aspect is therefore taken into account right from the development stage of our shelters.

We design our products with recyclable materials and optimize their lifespan, thanks in particular to the hot-dip galvanizing of the steel and the possibility of repairing them. Backed by a 10-year warranty, our products are built to last.

To achieve this, we invest in high-performance industrial tools to limit material losses and create innovative, responsible solutions to meet new needs.

The eco-design approach also implies limiting the quantity of raw materials used as much as possible. That’s why Abri Plus always designs its products to be as light as possible, while guaranteeing their solidity and reliability.

As far as possible, we seek to source our raw materials as close as possible to our manufacturing plants, in order to limit the environmental impact of transport.

We guarantee 100% European origin, the vast majority of which is French.

Reducing our energy consumption

For several years now, we have been taking steps to improve our energy management. To better control our electricity consumption, we have installed 1,000m2 of solar panels on the workshop roof. This enables us to produce 35% of our electricity needs !

We also include renewable energy solutions in some of our products, proposing the use of solar panels. Thanks to these, we can imagine and create solutions that are self-sufficient in electricity.

We have set up a system to monitor our energy and water consumption in order to measure our energy costs and take appropriate decisions.

Waste management

Waste management

In line with the life cycle of its products, Abri Plus has a strict waste management policy. We sort and recycle all our materials : steel, aluminum, polycarbonate, glass, wood, paper, WEEE, batteries and neon tubes.

On site, we mainly use steel racks to pack metal structures. Packaging, such as foam, is recovered by our installation teams for reuse in our paint shop.

For Abri Plus, it’s essential to have as little impact as possible on the environment in which we come to install our products. No waste is left on site, and the floor is swept to leave the premises in perfect condition.

Putting people at the heart of our decisions

At Abri Plus, we place the well-being and safety of our employees at the heart of our commitments. Every year, we improve our working conditions with high-performance protective equipment, appropriate training and investments in safety. Inclusion and support are also essential: we work with ESATs, and encourage apprenticeships and internal career development. Last but not least, we cultivate a friendly working environment, with plenty of opportunities for exchanging ideas and creating spaces that promote well-being.

Looking ahead

Becoming a responsible company means, above all, remaining a company in motion — always adapting.

Every day, we take action to choose sustainable solutions whenever possible and to integrate environmental considerations into our decision-making.
We believe it is our duty to move forward with a sustainable mindset and to adapt today to meet the needs of tomorrow’s society.

Our environmental commitments cannot exist without strong social and societal action.
Because we believe that a company’s goals are achieved as a team, we are committed to putting people at the heart of our decisions.
