The 9th edition of theUltra Raid de la Meije ( URLM Abri Plus) markedAbri Plus’s first participation as main sponsor of this exceptional mountain bike raid.

Cyclists set off from La Grave on Sunday

On September 14 and 15, 750 mountain bikers gathered in the northern Hautes-Alpes (05) to take part in the URLM, recognized as Europe’s finest mountain bike raid!

Competitors enjoyed the best possible racing conditions: magnificent weather all weekend long, exceptional off-the-beaten-track routes and all in a majestic setting !

A real mountain adventure to discover exceptional landscapes

The Meije, nicknamed the Queen of the Oisans, is a wild mountain territory and undeniably unspoilt mountain biking terrain in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes.

During theUltra Raid de la Meije – Abri Plus, participants discovered sumptuous routes and breathtaking landscapes: legendary passes (Lautaret, Galibier), grandiose glaciers, remarkable high altitude lakes…

A difficult and demanding course

As well as being an extraordinary challenge for cyclists who love the mountains and wide-open spaces, the URLM is above all a very convivial event.

In a simple and benevolent state of mind, the volunteers put in an enormous amount of work before and during the event, leaving no stone unturned to ensure the well-being and safety of all the riders.

This impeccable organization enabled every participant to experience an unforgettable human and sporting adventure!

An Abri Plus team also took part in the 35-kilometer untimed hike on Sunday.

Unaccustomed to the altitude difference (1700 m on this route), our seasoned competitors encountered difficulties throughout this demanding race.

Indeed, some team members unfortunately had to deal with multiple punctures. However, despite the difficulties encountered, they were all delighted and proud to have succeeded in completing this technical high-mountain course.
