AbriPlus partners paratriathlete Mona Francis!

Mona Francis - Duathlon

We are delighted and proud to have recently been able to provide technical support to Mona Francis, a top-level paratriathlon athlete and member of the Saint-Herblain Triathlon Club. Mona already boasts an exceptional track record, including 6th place at the Tokyo Paralympic Games last summer, and more recently the title of European vice-champion!

With a view to the World Championships in November 2021, Mona was looking for a company capable of modifying her racing chair to further improve her performance. AbriPlus was able to provide her with all its technical expertise as a metalworker and its knowledge of materials. Our team worked on the aluminum structure of the racing chair and the position of the seat: a meticulous design to optimize its ergonomics!

The results are there for all to see: Mona finished 4th in the World Championships in Abu Dhabi!

ABRIPLUS : How does the modification make you more comfortable?

Mona Francis: “This new position in the chair means I can push harder and have better speed. But I’m also more comfortable, so I can concentrate on the content and duration of the workout without any problems. A BIG THANK YOU once again for the welcome and availability of the team. The chair is really perfect, and I’ll be able to go back to training for another Olympiad without any worries.”

ABRIPLUS: What are your goals for the upcoming competitions?

Mona Francis: “For the next competition on November 5, the World Championships, I’m hoping above all to have a full race in which I finally manage to set a good time in the wheelchair, and the place will follow: a top 5 finish wouldn’t be bad! Next year and in preparation for the Paris 2024 games, I hope to increase my level in the wheelchair which would allow me to make podiums on the big world events.”

To follow her results and news, don’t hesitate to join her on her social networks: Facebook, Instagram. The whole Abriplus team will be behind her for her upcoming competitions, where we wish her the best results!
