Abri Plus, French leader in shelter and local de l’étape, presents its innovations at RNTP in Nantes
The 27th edition of the Rencontres Nationales du Transport Public (RNTP), held from October 1 to 3, gave pride of place to bicycles, with an area dedicated to Active Mobility managed by the Club des Villes & Territoires Cyclables.

Nearly 6,000 delegates and public transport professionals came to discover the latest French innovations in transport and travel, as well as the stands of the 200 exhibitors present at the Parc des expositions de Nantes la Beaujoire (44).
At the opening of the Congress, political figures came to discover Abri Plus’ new products in the Active Mobility Area, demonstrating the importance of bicycles in the current political debate.

Grégoire Maes (Managing Director of Abri Plus) presented our products and bicycle parking solutions to Jean-Baptiste Djebbari (Secretary of State for Transport), accompanied by Roch Brancourt (Vice-President of the Pays de la Loire Region for Transport), Pierre Serne (President of the FUB) and Louis Nègre (President of the GART).
Valérie Oppelt, Member of Parliament for Nantes, also came to see the innovative bikes made in Pays de la Loire.
For Abri Plus, this local event was an opportunity to meet its corporate and local authority customers, and to present exclusive products from its new English partner Cyclehoop: fun parc vélos, cyclehoop for posts and poles, lovehoop…
Abri Plus bike parking for visitors with bicycles
At the entrance to RNTP, next to a giant orange bicycle, Cyclehoop’s fun parc vélos, temporary bike racks were set up to enable visitors to park their bikes safely during the 3-day event.
In an outdoor area, Abri Plus also exhibited its new self-supporting, energy-sufficient bike shelter: the Kompact.
Kompact bike shelter: self-supporting and energy self-sufficient
The Kompact is a secure bicycle locker pre-assembled in our workshops near Nantes, then crane-mounted directly on site. 3 photovoltaic solar panels cover the roof, making it totally self-sufficient in energy.
This innovative bicycle parking facility, currently being tested in 3 stations in the Ile-de-France region, offers 12 bicycle parking spaces on 2 levels in a small footprint (7 m²).
A visit to the Abri Plus premises to promote “made in France
In conjunction with the event, Abri Plus gave a delegation a tour of its manufacturing plant in Saint Philbert de Grand Lieu, near Nantes (44).
Participants were able to discover French industrial know-how and try out the products themselves.
