What is a bike rack?

A bike rack, also called a bike stand, is a bike parking equipment that provides better support for the bicycle. The bike is held by both the fork and the wheel for perfect stability while ensuring its security (against theft) through the frame and wheel.
A simple model that only holds the wheel is strongly discouraged (it offers less security and poses a risk of wheel damage). These equipment are designed to be assembled in groups to meet high-density parking demands or to accommodate temporary exceptional parking. Made of steel, with a galvanized or painted finish, they are perfectly designed to withstand all weather conditions.

Bike racks are specially designed to park and secure a large number of bikes or in confined spaces (up to 10 bikes in a car parking space – Funpark) or in temporary locations (not originally intended for this purpose) that do not require civil engineering. These facilities are commonly found in city centers, tourist spots, during special events (fairs, exhibitions), or in schools, residential neighborhoods, and near hospitals.
As with all bike supports, the bike racks, made of steel, are very well-suited for outdoor use. However, aside from the Funpark, which is designed for outdoor use, all models integrate perfectly into bike rooms or bike shelters, whether open or closed.

Who are bike racks designed for?

The racks or bike shelters are intended for all entities that need to meet the growing demand from bicycle users: local authorities (municipalities, medium-sized cities, and metropolitan areas), social landlords (property managers, residential neighborhood associations, etc.), companies for their employees (Mobility Plans, etc.), or even companies for their customers (shopping centers), hospitals, or schools. For temporary cycling facilities, it should be noted that bike racks will be highly demanded by professionals in business tourism (trade shows, etc.) or seasonal leisure tourism. Bicycle rental companies can also take advantage of this type of equipment.
