U or upside-down U bollards are supports for open bicycle shelters or secure bicycle garages. A U-shaped bollard allows 2 bicycles to be parked.
If the bollards are to be fixed to asphalt (not concrete), they are connected by a steel plate and the whole assembly is fixed to the ground. This system ensures long-term stability of the bollards and avoids the need for civil engineering.
